With the objective of strengthening inclusive recycling in the country's main cities, we are committed to implementing the Cumbayá Recicla project to provide citizens and private companies with different options for the delivery of their recyclable waste.
To increase the percentage of recyclable material recovered in this parish, we carry out different actions: we implement recycling stations, we carry out events and collection routes to companies, businesses or housing complexes and educational units.
As an initial activity, on Saturday, May 28, we carried out the first collection of recyclable waste in the Central Park of Cumbayá. The people who attended with their usable waste were awarded and instructed about the forms of delivery in the ReciApp.
During these months we have permanently placed three recycling stations in different parts of the sector, each station has a total of three containers capable of storing different types of materials, specifically: paper/cardboard, plastic/metal and glass. ReciveCi has a system currently in operation where each container has a unique QR code per station, which makes it easier for the user to register their delivery, giving them the opportunity to accumulate points for each registration.

Spring II
On September 16, we held”Travel and Recycle”, a recreational event, whose objective is the collection of recyclable material such as cardboard, paper, metal, glass, Tetra Pak containers® and plastics, aimed at influencers so that they in turn share it with their digital communities through their social networks. This program was attended by grassroots recyclers who shared their knowledge and personal stories. We visited partner businesses and recycling stations.
The actions of this project have been implemented thanks to the support of citizens, companies such as Agua San Felipe, Cervecería Nacional, Coca-Cola Ecuador and organizations such as Latitude R. As you can see, the project planned for Cumbayá seeks to bring together the different actors that make up this community with the objective of providing them with the necessary tools in the implementation of a long-term recycling system, thus fulfilling their social responsibilities. For this reason, we continue working to promote the proper separation of solid waste in Ecuadorian homes and businesses together with the thousands of families that are dedicated to recycling in the country.
