Project overview
On April 13, 2024, the second edition of Reci Mañana Divertida took place, a day honoring grassroots recyclers to celebrate and highlight those at the heart of inclusive recycling advocated by ReciVeci. The event welcomed 138 grassroots recyclers, along with 61 companions and 120 children, training a total of 319 participants on this commemorative day.
Various activities were organized to benefit the recyclers, providing access to services they typically struggle to receive, such as dental health care, clothing donations, beauty treatments, and fun activities for families, including dance therapy, a swimming pool, and inflatable games. They also enjoyed “Happy Boxes” and snacks. Additionally, a football tournament was held, with two teams of recyclers emerging victorious.
The event was joyful and festive, creating a warm atmosphere that celebrated grassroots recyclers. With over 300 participants, it was a successful event for ReciVeci and the recyclers, showing gratitude for their dedication and daily efforts. Supported by O-I CRIDESA, Coca-Cola, McDonald’s, Aseguradora del Sur, Bagó, Zurich, and partners from the UIDE School of Dentistry, the International Fashion Center, and Usa ReUsa, this event was a fun moment that demonstrated support for grassroots recyclers.
