Project overview
On December 14, 2023, the Pimp my association event was held at CEGAM Eloy Alfaro in the south of Quito to recognize the important work of grassroots waste pickers in the community.
The event was attended by 11 basic waste pickers from the Manos Unidas association with their families, who had access to the different services and were able to enjoy cotton candy and slushies.
As part of the event's activities, recyclers were offered dental health, beauty and clothing donation services. The event also included the inauguration of a mural that represents the work and effort they do every day.
