Strengthening Inclusive Recycling in Cuenca through ReciApp

In 2022, the Municipal Cleaning Company of Cuenca (EMAC EP) joined ReciApp for a period of six months (July - December) through the software leasing and administration service. As part of the implementation of ReciApp in Cuenca, the following were carried out:

• Creating an Admin user in the ReciApp for EMAC
• Inclusion of ReciApp functionalities for Cuenca as specific routes for basic recyclers.
• Inclusion of the graphic identity of EMAC in the ReciApp with the use of the institutional logo
• Communication campaign with the support of Accelerator 100+, Latitude R and University of Cuenca

The implementation of these activities made it possible to achieve important advances in inclusive recycling, including:

• Registration of 261 recyclers based on the ReciApp, with their respective routes. It is the only city in the country that has this functionality.
• 260 downloads of application.
• A monthly average of 172 active users.
